LIDIJA MALAHOTKY HAAS je študirala klavir pri prof. Janezu Lovšetu na Srednji glasbeni in baletni šoli v Ljubljani, diplomirala pa v razredu prof. Acija Bertonclja na Akademiji za glasbo v Ljubljani. Po končanem študiju je leta 1984 pričela s pedagoškim delom na Konservatoriju za glasbo in balet v Ljubljani.
Njeni dijaki so doslej osvojili številne nagrad na mednarodnih in domačih klavirskih tekmovanjih (Koeln, Gorizia, New York, Graz, Zagreb, Varaždin, Beograd) ter se kot solisti predstavili z domačimi in tujimi orkestri.
Lidija Malahotky je bila recenzentka več klavirskih začetnic, sestavljalka propozicij za Tekmovanje mladih slovenskih glasbenikov v disciplinah klavir in klavirski duo ter članica žirij na domačih in mednarodnih klavirskih tekmovanjih. Kot zunanja sodelavka je vrsto let poučevala klavir na oddelku za glasbeno pedagogiko na Akademiji za glasbo v Ljubljani.
Za izjemne dosežke pri uveljavljanju šole je prejela Škerjančevo plaketo Konservatorija za glasbo in balet Ljubljana.
LIDIJA MALAHOTKY HAAS studied piano with prof. Janez Lovše at the Secondary School of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana, and graduated in the class of prof. Aci Bertoncelj at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. After graduating in 1984, she began teaching at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana.
So far, her students have won awards at international and domestic piano competitions (Koeln, Gorizia, New York, Graz, Zagreb, Varaždin, Belgrade) and have performed as soloists with domestic and foreign orchestras.
Lidija Malahotky was a reviewer of several piano initials, a compiler of propositions for the Competition of Young Slovenian Musicians in the disciplines of piano and piano duo, and a member of the jury at domestic and international piano competitions. As an external collaborator, she taught piano for many years at the Department of Music Pedagogy at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.
She received the Škerjanč Plaque from the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet for her outstanding achievements in establishing the school.
