Benjamin Govže je začel svojo glasbeno pot v Laškem pri mentorju Božidarju Bučevcu, nadaljeval šolanje na Srednji glasbeni in baletni šoli v Ljubljani pri prof. Majdi Martinc in zaključil dodiplomski študij klavirja v razredu red. prof. Acija Bertonclja na ljubljanski Akademiji za glasbo. Po diplomi se je leto dni izpopolnjeval na priznani Akademiji Franza Liszta v Budimpešti, kjer je bil njegov mentor prof. István Gulyás. Tam je nastala tudi njegova zgoščenka z deli L. van Beethovna in R. Schumanna. Nato se je vrnil v Ljubljano in opravil še specialistični študij – zopet pod vodstvom mentorja Acija Bertonclja. Pianist Benjamin Govže je imel do sedaj številne nastope in koncerte po Sloveniji in na tujem. Med najpomembnejšimi naj omenimo izvedbi 2. in 3. klavirskega koncerta Sergeja Prokofjeva z orkestrom Slovenske filharmonije – za slednjega je prejel tudi Prešernovo nagrado Univerze v Ljubljani. Večkrat je snemal tudi za RTV Slovenija in igral v različnih komornih zasedbah. Benjamin Govže je redno zaposlen kot profesor klavirja na Glasbeni šoli Celje ter na umetniški gimnaziji glasbene smeri, ki jo izvajamo skupaj s I. gimnazijo v Celju. Svoje znanje zelo rad prenaša na mladi rod, redno sodeluje kot korepetitor na domačih in mednarodnih tekmovanjih, od leta 2010 pa sodeluje tudi pri festivalu Romanica Antiqua Laško. Za odmevne glasbene dosežke na področju koncertne dejavnosti in izobraževanja mladih je leta 2011 prejel priznanje Antona Aškerca.
Benjamin Govže began his musical journey in Laško with his mentor Božidar Bučevec, continued his education at the Secondary School of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana with prof. Majdi Martinc and completed his undergraduate studies in piano in the class of prof. Acija Bertonclja at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. After graduation, he studied for a year at the renowned Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, where his mentor was prof. István Gulyás. His CD with works by L. van Beethoven and R. Schumann was also created there. After he returned to Ljubljana he completed his specialist studies – again under the guidance of his mentor Aci Bertoncelj. Pianist Benjamin Govže has had many performances and concerts in Slovenia and abroad. Among the most important, we should mention the performance of Sergej’s 2nd and 3rd piano concertos with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra – for the latter, he also received the Prešeren Prize of the University of Ljubljana. He also recorded several times for RTV Slovenia and played in various chamber ensembles. Benjamin Govže works as a piano teacher at the Celje School of Music at the art gymnasium of the music major wich we conduct together with I. Gimnazija v Celju. He likes to pass on his knowledge to the younger generation, he regularly participates as an accompanist in domestic and international competitions, and since 2010 he has also participated in the Romanica Antiqua Laško festival. In 2011, he received the Anton Aškerec award for his high-profile musical achievements in the field of concert activity and youth education.
