Erika Udovič Kovačič

  Po končani nižji glasbeni šoli je harmoniko nadaljevala  na Srednji glasbeni in baletni šoli v Ljubljani v razredu prof. Ernö Sebastiana. V tem času je leta 1987 na takratnem republiškem tekmovanju učencev in študentov glasbe osvojila 1. nagrado in kasneje 2. nagrado na državnem tekmovanju v Dubrovniku. Na Akademiji za glasbo v Ljubljani je leta 1992 zaključila študij glasbene pedagogike, leta 2008 pa na Filozofski fakulteti s temo »Prelomnice v razvoju koncertne harmonike« zaključi še znanstveni magisterij. Večji del te naloge je posvetila slovenski literaturi za koncertno harmoniko.

Po zaključku študija je sodelovala s harmonikarskim orkestrom SYNTHESIS 4 iz Trsta in harmonikarskim orkestrom ZPGŠ, s katerima je uspešno nastopila na tekmovanjih v Innsbrucku, Puli in Pragi. Prav tako je bila pred leti članica harmonikarskega orkestra učiteljev Slovenije.

Skozi vsa leta uspešnega pedagoškega dela s svojimi učenci dosega številne prve nagrade in prva mesta na državnih in mednarodnih tekmovanjih (Temsig, Svirel,  Pula, Castelfidardo, Trst, Legnago…). Prav tako njeni učenci uspešno predstavljajo harmoniko na pomembnih kulturnih prireditvah.

Od leta 1991 je zaposlena na Glasbeni šoli Koper, zadnja leta poučuje harmoniko tudi na Umetniški gimnaziji Koper.

After finishing elementary music school she continued playing the accordion at Secondary  music and ballet school in Ljubljana in the class of professor Ernö Sebastian. In 1987 she won 1st prize at the republic music competition and won 2nd national music award in Dubrovnik. In 1992 she graduated from the music pedagoy. In 2008 she gained a scientific master’s degree from the Faculty on Philosophy with the theme of the Turning points in the development of a concert accordion. She devoted most of her assignment to Slovene accordion literature.

After finishing her study she played with accordion orchestra SYNTHESIS 4from Trst and with accordion orchestra ZPGŠ. With both she has competed in Innsbruck, Pula and Prague. She has been also a member of Slovene accordion teachers orchestra several years ago.

Through all the years of her pedagogical work she participates with her pupils at many state and international competitions at where they achieve first prizes or first places (TEMSIG, Svirel, Pula, Castelfidardo, Trst, Legnago, …). Her pupils represent the accordion also on many different cultural events in the area.

Since 1991 she has been teaching at Musis school Koper and in the last few years also at Art gymnasium, musical department.
