Matej Zupan

Matej Zupan je profesor na Akademiji za glasbo Univerze v Ljubljani. Od leta 1996 do 2008 je bil solo flavtist Simfonikov RTV Slovenija. Dodiplomski in podiplomski študij je končal na Akademiji za glasbo Univerze v Ljubljani pri prof. Fedji Ruplu. Izpopolnjeval se je v Firencah, Italija, pri Mariu Ancillottiju, ter na mojstrskih tečajih predavateljev: Trevor Wye, Michel Debost, Peter-Lukas Graf in James Galway. Je član pihalnega kvinteta ARIART, Komornega orkestra Academia Ars Musicae in Ansambla za sodobno glasbo MD7. Kot solist in član različnih komornih sestavov je nastopal v Evropi, Severni in Južni Ameriki ter Aziji. Snemal je za RTV Slovenija, RAI in ÖRF. Posnel je sedem samostojnih zgoščenk in še šest z zasedbama Pihalni kvintet Ariart in Ansambel za sodobno glasbo MD7. Bil je član komisij na državnih in mednarodnih flavtističnih tekmovanjih v Sloveniji, na Madžarskem, Hrvaškem, v Romuniji, Italiji, Srbiji in ZDA. Več na www.matejzupan.com.

 

Matej Zupan is a professor at the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana. From 1996 to 2008 he was solo flutist of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. He graduated and postgraduated at the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana in the class of Fedja Rupel. He studied in Florence, Italy, in the class od Mario Ancillotti, and attended several master classes (Trevor Wye, Michel Debost, Peter-Lukas Graf and James Galway). He is a member of the ARIART wind quintet, the Academia Ars Musicae Chamber Orchestra and the MD7 Contemporary Music Ensemble. He has performed as a soloist and a member of various chamber ensembles in Europe, North and South America and Asia. He recorded for RTV Slovenia, RAI and ÖRF. He has recorded seven solo CDs and six more with the Ariart Wind Quintet and the MD7 Contemporary Music Ensemble. He was a member of several juries at national and international flutist competitions in Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Italy, Serbia and the USA. More info on: www.matejzupan.com.
