Sergej Čamer je svojo glasbeno pot začel na Glasbeni šoli v Trbovljah, kjer je zaključil šolanje kot “učenec leta” pod mentorstvom profesorja Tvrtka Sarića. Svoje glasbeno izobraževanje je nadaljeval na srednji stopnji Glasbene šole Celje, kjer je pod ravno tasko pod mentorstvom prof. Sarića uspešno zaključil izobraževanje. Poleg tega je zaključil tudi Poslovno-komercialno šolo v Celju, smer ekonomski tehnik.
Še pred zaključkom srednje šole je Sergej uspešno opravil sprejemni preizkus na Univerzi za glasbo in upodabljajočo umetnost v Grazu (KUG), kjer je pod vodstvom profesorice Ortrud Posedu diplomiral iz koncertne smeri in inštrumentalne (pevske) pedagogike. V času študija se je udeleževal številnih mojstrskih tečajev doma in v tujini.
Sergej Čamer poučuje kitaro že od leta 2006 na Glasbeni šoli Piran, hkrati pa je deloval tudi na Glasbeni šoli Trbovlje, Glasbeni šoli Hrastnik, Zasebnem zavodu Glasbena šola Avsenik, I. gimnaziji v Celju ter na Glasbeni šoli Celje, kjer še vedno poučuje.
V času poučevanja na Glasbeni šoli Trbovlje in Glasbeni šoli Hrastnik je oblikoval in vodil kitarske orkestre, ki so se uspešno udeleževali številnih kulturnih dogodkov. Skupaj z orkestri je sodeloval 14 let in prispeval k pomembnim glasbenim dosežkom teh šol.
Poleg kitare je Sergej Čamer v času svojega glasbenega izobraževanja na Glasbeni šoli Hrastnik z odliko zaključil tudi nižjo stopnjo izobraževanja iz solopetja pri profesorju Nikoli Nikoliću.
Sergej Čamer began his musical journey at the Music School in Trbovlje, where he graduated as the “Student of the Year” under the mentorship of Professor Tvrtko Sarić. He continued his musical education at the secondary level at the Music School Celje, where he successfully completed his studies under Professor Sarić. In addition, he also graduated from the Business and Commercial School in Celje, specializing in economic techniques.
Before finishing high school, Sergej successfully passed the entrance exam at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (KUG), where he earned his degree in concert performance and instrumental (vocal) pedagogy under the guidance of Professor Ortrud Posedu. During his studies, he participated in numerous masterclasses both at home and abroad.
Since 2006, Sergej Čamer has been teaching guitar at the Music School Piran and has also worked at the Music School Trbovlje, the Music School Hrastnik, the Private Institution Music School Avsenik, the First Gymnasium in Celje, and the Music School Celje, where he still teaches today.
While teaching at the Music Schools in Trbovlje and Hrastnik, Sergej formed and led guitar orchestras that successfully participated in numerous cultural events. He collaborated with the orchestras for 14 years, contributing significantly to the musical achievements of these schools. In addition to the guitar, Sergej Čamer completed his lower level music education in solo singing with honors at the Music School Hrastnik under Professor Nikola Nikolić.
